The Israeli military has identified the remains of a hostage recently returned from Gaza. The body is that of Sudthisak Rinthalak, a Thai national.
Officials say Rinthalak was killed during the Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. His remains were recovered as part of a ceasefire deal brokered by the United States.
Rinthalak was the second-to-last hostage returned under the terms of that agreement. The identification process was completed on Thursday.
