Loyola University New Orleans Denies Turning Point USA Chapter for Second Time

Loyola University New Orleans has denied official recognition to a student chapter of Turning Point USA for a second time. A student involved with the TPUSA chapter called the student government meeting where the vote occurred "absolutely appalling." The group first sought recognition in the fall but was initially rejected. Turning Point USA is a national conservative nonprofit that promotes free market principles and limited government. University recognition allows student groups to access funding and use campus facilities for events. The school's Court of Review had ruled in TPUSA's favor, ordering the student government to reconsider. After the second denial, the group's future status on campus remains uncertain.
