Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and Qatar’s UCC Petroleum Trading have signed a preliminary deal to cooperate on supplying aircraft fuel. The two companies inked the memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Damascus on Friday.
The agreement outlines plans to explore potential joint work in the aviation fuel sector. An MoU is a non-binding document that signals intent to form a future partnership.
SOCAR Vice President Kanan Najafov and UCC representative Mousa Naber signed the document. Azerbaijani and Qatari diplomats attended the signing ceremony.
The meeting in Syria’s capital marks a notable business development involving firms from the two energy-rich nations.
