Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued four decrees on December 6, appointing new senior officials to key government ministries.
The appointments include a Deputy Minister of Finance and several Assistant Ministers. These roles are senior positions that support the work of cabinet ministers.
According to the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Decree No. 268 appointed Mohammad Abdul-Halim Abazid as Deputy Minister of Finance.
Decree No. 269 named Imad Hamad al-Masri as Assistant Minister of Public Works and Housing. His portfolio will cover Planning and Studies Affairs.
A third decree, No. 270, appointed Maher Jamil to an unspecified senior role. The full list of decrees and appointments was published by the state news agency.
