Ukraine’s defense minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, said his country’s drone strikes are effectively turning the occupied Crimean peninsula into an island. The logistics blockade, he added, has already led to a drop in Russian military assaults.
Fedorov declined to specify the next steps, but warned of consequences he would not yet name. The remarks signal a strategic shift in Ukraine’s approach to the region, which Russia seized in 2014 and has used as a key supply hub for its war effort.
