GSK Chief Praises US, Pressuring UK on Drug Investment

The head of pharmaceutical giant GSK has called the United States the best place for drug companies to invest.
Emma Walmsley, chief executive of the London-based firm, made the statement in a recent interview. She said the US leads the world in launching new drugs and vaccines.
Walmsley also named China as a top market for business development alongside the US.
Her praise for rival markets increases pressure on the UK government. Officials are urged to make Britain more attractive for pharmaceutical investment.
