Turkey and Israel traded sharp accusations on Friday after Ankara announced it had requested an international arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of "genocide" over the interception of a Gaza-bound aid flotilla.
Turkey has been one of Israel's harshest critics during the war in Gaza, which began after the Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel on October 7. Netanyahu responded by calling Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan an "antisemitic dictator."
The exchange marks another low point in already tense relations between the two nations.
