Yemen has asked the United Nations Security Council to condemn attacks by Houthi forces in the Red Sea. The government says these attacks threaten international shipping and global trade.
Yemen also called on the Council to enforce existing arms embargo measures. It urged members to support the government in restoring control over its territory.
The warning highlights growing concern that the conflict could disrupt one of the world's most important trade routes.
