Students Play "Robin Hood" to Deliver Christmas Cheer to Isolated Elders

Pupils from Thomas More College in South Africa have turned into modern-day Robin Hoods. They did not steal from the rich. Instead, they raised money to fight loneliness. The students packed 75 special gift bags for residents of the Jabulani Senior Citizens Residence. Their goal was to make the elderly "grandpas and grannies" feel remembered this Christmas. A charity called the Robin Hood Foundation then delivered the treats. The foundation often acts as a bridge, connecting donors with people in need. The gift bags are a direct response to the isolation many elderly people feel, especially during holiday seasons. The project shows how young people can create meaningful change in their communities.
