A cat living in the Belgian prime minister's office has become a social media star. His posts show a warmer side of the country's leader, Bart De Wever.
The cat, named Maximus Textoris Pulcher, moved into the official building on Rue de la Loi 16 in Brussels last August. His playful Instagram posts have drawn many followers.
Observers note that the cat's photos often carry a subtle political message. The images aim to soften the public image of Prime Minister De Wever.
This follows a tradition of famous political pets. The most well-known is Larry the Cat, who has lived at Britain's 10 Downing Street for over 14 years.
