Hong Kong Braces for 11-Degree Chill as Winter Monsoon Hits

A strong winter monsoon will send temperatures in Hong Kong plunging to 11 degrees Celsius in the coming days. The Hong Kong Observatory forecasts a significant drop, with the mercury falling as low as 11°C (51.8°F). The cool spell is driven by a seasonal winter monsoon. Senior scientific officer Tong Yu-fai said a "widening gap in daily readings" would also contribute. This means the difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures will grow larger. Residents are advised to prepare for the sudden cold weather. The chill is expected to last for several days.
