NFL of Dog Sledding? 600 Canines Race in French Alps.

While famous for skiing, the French Alps are now hosting a premier dog sledding event. The Grande Odyssée Royal Canin is a top international race, now in its 21st year. About 60 mushers—the drivers of dog sleds—are competing. Their 600 sled dogs will race across more than 400 kilometers of mountain terrain. Race president Annabel Kam says the event is a global reference in the mushing world.
