Two turkeys named Gobble and Waddle have arrived in Washington, D.C. They are staying at the luxurious Willard InterContinental hotel ahead of the White House's annual turkey pardon ceremony. The birds traveled from their home state of North Carolina on Monday. The National Turkey Federation provides the turkeys for this tradition. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday. There, the President will officially "pardon" the turkeys, sparing them from being eaten. After the event, Gobble and Waddle will live out their lives at a university farm.
