Ukraine to mass-produce British jammer that blinds Russian air defense

A British electronic warfare device mounted on drones and missiles is confusing Russian air defense systems. Ukraine’s military is now expected to receive permission to mass-produce the system at home. “This will increase Ukraine’s strike accuracy,” said military expert Johan Huovinen. The jammer works by sending out signals that interfere with the guidance systems of Russian surface-to-air missiles. This makes it harder for the missiles to lock onto their targets, giving Ukrainian drones and missiles a better chance of hitting their objectives. The decision to allow Ukrainian production comes as Kyiv seeks to reduce its dependence on foreign weapons supplies. Mass production on home soil could also lower costs and speed up delivery to frontline units.
